What we focus on

Where do you need the work?

Every session is tailored to you — choose an area, or come with nothing specific in mind and let it be intuitive.

  • Back & shoulders

  • Neck & head

  • Legs & hips

  • Full body

Hands-on Care is bodywork treated as self-care rather than repair. A session is an hour or so of undivided attention on one body — yours — with Dr Jody Schroeder (D.C.) working through the tissue at a pace you set, in your own home.

Every session is woven through with the Exhale Release Technique™: long, deliberate exhales that signal the nervous system to let go, so the hands-on work meets a body that is already settling rather than one braced against it.

Choose a relaxation-focused session or a restorative, deep-tissue one — or say what is going on and let it be matched to you. Nothing is done without your say-so, and you stay covered throughout.

The practice is based in Feltham, where availability is most flexible, and travels out across West and South-West London: Feltham, Hounslow, Twickenham, Richmond, Kingston, Chiswick, Ealing, Wimbledon, Putney, Teddington, Staines, Heathrow. If you are a little further out, get in touch and we will confirm availability and any travel for your postcode.

Your session

What happens, in order.

Every session is unhurried and tailored to you. Here’s the shape of it, start to finish.

  1. You settle in

A small, clear space is all that's needed — the table, linens and oils travel with us. Your therapist arrives a little ahead of time to set up.

  2. We talk it through

Focus areas, health considerations, and what you're hoping to get from the session — whatever's relevant, in confidence. Say as much or as little as you'd like.

  3. The work begins

Hands-on bodywork woven through with the Exhale Release Technique™. Draping keeps you covered throughout, and pressure and focus are checked in on as we go.

  4. You leave with aftercare guidance

Water, gentle movement, and — if there's tenderness — cold therapy. Mild soreness for a day or two is common; you'll be told what to expect for you specifically.

Time is the whole thing.

Long enough to work through the whole body without hurrying, or to give one area real attention.

Dual-qualified in chiropractic and sports therapy, so one session can move between relaxation-focused work, deep-tissue and myofascial release, stretching and breath — whatever the body in front of me is asking for.

How care works

The aim is always the same. Helping.

Regular hands-on care tends to move through three phases — not fixed lengths, and not a plan set on day one. Come as often or as rarely as suits you.

Phase one

Settle & Release

Helping the nervous system come down and the tissue soften — so the body has room to let go instead of bracing against it.

Phase two

Restore & Recharge

Helping the calm and the ease outlast the hour on the table — carried into how you move and hold yourself between sessions.

Phase three

Maintain & Thrive

Helping this become part of how you look after yourself — regular care that keeps you feeling like you, not repair after you've run dry.

None of this is about becoming dependent on the table — it’s about learning what your body needs, and how to give it that yourself, between sessions too.

You’ll always know where you stand.

  • Tailored to you

Share the areas you'd like worked on, or simply relax and let the work be intuitive. Either way, the session follows you.

  • Comfort, always

Nothing happens without your say-so. Ask for less pressure, or for quiet, at any point — no explanation needed.

  • Privacy throughout

Professional draping means only the area being worked on is ever exposed, and you're never asked to undress further than you're comfortable with.

  • Breath woven in

Every session carries the Exhale Release Technique™ — long, deliberate exhales that signal the nervous system to let go, alongside the hands-on work.

The questions people actually ask.

No. Sessions are booked one at a time, whenever you'd like one. There's no care plan and no pressure to commit to anything beyond the session in front of you.

Hands-on Care comes in two lengths: 60 minutes for £120 and 35 minutes for £80. Payment is taken on the day.

The longer session gives room to work through the whole body without hurrying; the shorter one suits a specific area, or a first visit if you'd rather start small. If you're unsure, say what's going on when you book and it will be matched to you.

No. Plenty of people arrive having never had hands-on work, or having had a bad experience of it. Nothing happens without your say-so, you stay covered throughout, and you can ask for less pressure — or for quiet — at any point.

Feltham is home, so the whole town is covered and availability there is the most flexible on the calendar. Beyond it the practice regularly travels across Hounslow, Twickenham, Richmond, Kingston, Chiswick, Ealing, Wimbledon, Putney, Teddington, Staines, Heathrow. If you're outside those, get in touch — we can confirm availability and any travel for your postcode.

Yes — this is a mobile service, so the session happens in your home or workplace. There is no clinic to travel to, and no waiting room at either end.

Just a small, clear space with room for the massage table, and access to the room. We bring the professional table, fresh linens, oils, and music if you'd like it.

Yes. If you have an acute injury from the last 24–48 hours, suspected DVT, an infectious disease, are in your first trimester of pregnancy, have a current fever, or are undergoing treatment for active cancer, please contact us before booking rather than through Jane directly — we're happy to talk it through and point you to what's appropriate.

Bodywork that gives you back to yourself.

Good hands-on care should leave you steadier, not just soothed for an afternoon. Start with a session — pick the length that fits, and you’ll feel the difference before you’re off the table.
